What are your strengths?

Our strengths are the things we do that make us feel stronger. If we know what they are, we tend to seek out opportunities to exercise them. This leaves us feeling stronger, more confident and capable, whilst we excel at something we (most likely) enjoy.

Having clarity on our strengths and being able to articulate them is also of huge importance in preparing for interview, whether for university or jobs.

A quick way to work out personal strengths is the VIA Survey of Character Strengths (scroll down the page which contains a great deal of interesting material!). You’ll need to create a profile, but it takes very little time and is definitely worth it.
